What Does This Lipid Profile Test Report Indicate?

I m a 52 year old woman. I had a ECG and its report says low voltage. I have a cholesterol test too and it report says (LDL 152), HDL 31, triglyceride 156, cholesterol 222. What does it means and Doctor I would like to know that is it a serious problem. what should I do about this problem.

Hello, The low voltage on the ECG is not a problem.
Your cholesterol is high. Total should be less than 200, LDL should be less than 130 (unless you have heart disease or diabetes then less than 100); HDL the higher the better but definitely should be over 50. Triglycerides are normal.
High cholesterol is one of the risk factors for stroke and heart attack. It depends upon how many other risks you have how likely you are to get one of those complications.
To lower the cholesterol you want to exercise daily even if just walking for 30 minutes, eat less fat and carbohydrates (sweets, bread, pasta, potatoes and rice) in your diet. Diet should be mostly lean meats and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.
