What Does This Liver Function Test Report Indicate?
Sir my name is Ankit Mishra I had a blood and liver function test .I had everything okay with my blood but when at liver function test everything was a bit high and my SGPT was 171 and SGOT was 112 and that has reaaly given me a shock i dont drink i drank only once in my life that too a year ago please just let me know what my medical condition is like and how can it be cured? -Thank you
These elevated liver enzymes are a sign of impaired liver function. Since you don't drink alcohol there are other causes which cause impaired liver function such drugs (acetaminophen), hepatitis A, B, C, non-alcoholic fatty liver, obesity, autoimmune diseases or infectious disease such mononucleosis. You may need also to do a total blood count and bilirubin direct and indirect.
