What Does This Liver Function Test Result Indicate?
Hi, my LFT test results came back - ALP, bilirubin and albumin were all normal, but my ALT is 84 (against lab norms 7.00 - 55.00IU/L). I am really worried as have been a heavy drinker for 15 years (cutting back now!). I am 32 yrs, female. I am going back for a re-test in 4 weeks, but am v anxious in the meantime.

Dont panic this increase is due to alcohol consumption only..if you have a usg there will be fatty changes..the only therapy now is to cut down the alcohol consumption as much as possible gradually..
Also take some liver tonic,multivitamin syrup for a few days.
Consult a deaddiction specialist.
