What Range is 58000 to 63000 platelet considered mild or severe or in the middle I have appointment with hematologist next week. Just curious if I should be worried. Was diagnosed with hec c 20 months ago took solvaldi and ribavirin for 12 weeks have been hep c free for around 16 months now. Thanks for any help you can provide
First of all, congratulations for having fought so valiantly with hepatitis C. Yes Sovadil and Ribavirin were a good choice. Platelet range 58000-65000 will be considered under mild change without any manifestations although you will be required to have it checked on a daily basis to monitor any further decrease. Keep your body hydrated with enough if fluids, it will help to increase.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
