I went for general health check test which included mamography.but after mamography they said i have go for breast screening.After screening the report has been given like _ small hyporeflective foci measuring 3_6mm in both breasts_suggesting focal fibroadenosis changed.And they gave the impression report as Focal fibroadenosis changes in the breast.BIRAD_2 means Benign findings adviced routine mammography.Doctor prescribed meEvion and Mecgla medicine.my doubt is i am having chances of developing cancer .Are these medicine are appropriate.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Fibroadenosis is quite a common breast condition which is non-cancerous. More than 50% of all women have fibroadenosis changes in breasts at some point in their lives. In most cases it subsides after menopause. Hence, you need not worry much about it. Kindly continue with the medications what has been prescribed by the doctor. Evion is composed of Vitamin E, which is an anti-oxidant and Mecgla is composed of Methylcobalamin, which is Vitamin B12 having neurological functions. Kindly get your breasts examined regularly and observe if there are any gross changes taking place in the shape and size of it. In case it causes some symptoms like breast tenderness, you may require symptomatic treatment. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
