in my pap test shows .smears shows scattered and groups of intermediate and parabasal squamous cells with occassional endo cervical cells.occassional cells show mild neuclcomegaly with regular neuclear membrane.back ground show inflamatory cell composed of neutrophils.is it cervical cancer or is it necessary to remoove ovary.
Hi I did review your concern. parabasal cells and cells with mild nucleomegaly can be seen in perimenopausal or menopausal females and are a normal finding. I believe the PAP result is negative for cervical cancer. I would advice you to repeat pap in 3 months or get a HPV antigen assay. I hope this helps WIsh you all the best. thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
