What Does This Pelvic Scan Report Indicate?

hi..im yet to get my cycle and its going to be two months now. had pelvic scanning done.the endometrial thickness is measuring 6.2 mm; cavity is empty; RO- 56x28 mm functional cyst measuring 30x26mm ; LO - 40x26 mm shows multiple smal peripheral foliicles, 4-6 mm in size with central echogenis stroma ; polycystic appearance in left ovary and right ovary simple cyst. Also I had unprotected sex two or three times. Is there chances of me being pregnant? or when will i be roughly getting my next cycle.

Hi,

You have multiple cysts in your ovaries which is the cause of the irregular cycles. It is also essential to rule out other hormonal imbalance like hypothyroidism. With regard to your second question,You need to take a pregnancy test 10 days after missed period or 2 weeks after sex. This will avoid false negative results. In case of negative pregnancy, hormonal pills should be taken regularly to correct your irregular periods. You should avoid these drugs if you are pregnant.
