What Does This Pelvic Scan Result For Conception Indicate?
trying to conceive since January 2015. Period is regular average cycle length 37, 1 child, boy 3 years old. delivered 2011 LSCS due to PIH.pelvic scan showed: Right ovaries 2.5x2.0x1.4 cm (vol 3.9cc) Left ovaries 2.5x2.1x1.3cm (vol 3.7 cc). Multiple tiny subcentimeter sized (varying from 2mm to 7mm) peripherally located follocles w/ central echogenic stroma in both ovaries. No adnexal maa is seen. PCOS?
As per my clinical experience, the pelvic scan report with multiple tiny subcentimeter size follicles in ovary do indicate polycystic ovarian syndrome most likely. The various modalities of therapy are needed to get therapy of conception like: - Ovulation induction agents as clomiphene citrate - Metformin to control possible insulin resistance - Ayurvedic support as M2tone syrup - Prior combined OC pills to regularize the menses cycle and stop OC pills 3 months prior to conception trial - Balanced nutritious diet - Avoidance of smoking or alcohol if consuming - Control of blood sugar, cholesterol - Body weight maintenance with regular aerobics
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
