What Does This Pelvic Ultrasound Test Result For Irregular Vaginal Bleeding Indicate?
Hi, I am 32 years old and have had abnormal PV bleeding a week before my period, for the last 2/3 months and with this bloating. My period arrives as per normal and I don t have anything outside the normal. My GP has ran every test - bloods, paps, urine, ultrasound external and internal pelvic. Everything has shown clear except what has shown there is small amount of debris in my womb. And the synographer didnt know what is was. My GP asked if I had ever been pregnant. I advised her no not that I am aware of. I have been referred to a gyno. I asked my GP if I should be worried, and she advised she doesn t think so. I am worried and my appt is with the gyno in 2 weeks. Any advice please? Thank you
It is good that you are going to have an evaluation by the gynecologist. Abnormal bleeding could arise due to several causes like infections, hormone disturbances that can arise due to sudden weight changes, stress, use of certain medications etc. As there is some material noticed in the uterus in the sonogram, it needs to be examined. After clinical evaluation, you may have to get an endometrial biopsy under sonography control to test the retained material. Further management can be planned accordingly.
