Hello,
Thank you for your query.
This
ultrasound report addresses two separate lesions
1) a cystic lesion within the
uterus - gestational sac??
This means that the cyst looks like an early
pregnancy.
Gestational sac is where the baby grows and the decidual reaction is where the placenta attaches.
It probably is too early to see a heartbeat.
2)cystic lesion in the ovary:? Hemorrhagic,? Corpus luteum
This means that there is a cyst filled with a little blood in the ovary.
Corpus luteum is what remains of a follicle after it has released its egg (ovulation). This usually appears as a collapsed follicle.
Sometimes it may fill with blood and form a cyst. It's function is to support the pregnancy with the hormone
progesterone until the the placenta takes over at 3 months of pregnancy.
Nothing to worry about, instead I believe CONGRATULATIONS are in order.
Please see your
OBGYN at the earliest . A fetal heart beat can be detected between 6-9 weeks from your last period, in a healthy pregnancy.
Hope this answers your question.
Wish you good health.
I will be happy to help if you have any other questions.
