Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The pelvic ultrasound shows a normal sized uterus. There is 2.8 cm fibroid or tumor arising from smooth muscles in the posterior wall of uterus. The fibroid is distorting the uterine cavity the uterine lining - endometrium and obscuring the left adnexa. The left adnexa has a mass which is not visualized properly. I suggest you to consult your gynecologist for other investigations like MRI to delineate the left adnexal mass.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
