What Does This Pelvic Ultrasound Test Result Indicate?

I did a scan and it shows Ultrasound shows a bulky and anteverted uterus. It measures 65-46-58mm(LS-AP-TS) and returns homogeneous myometrial echoes. There s an irregular gestational sac in mid-cavity.No fetal pole,no yolk sac seen. Both ovaries and adnexae are sonologically normal. No ovarian cyst. The cervix is close. Please doctor I want to know the meaning and what to do....Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think this report may be a normal report of the first stage of pregnancy. The first day of the last cycle is needed to make a more accurate evaluation. Maybe it is too early for fetal pole and sack to show. A second ultrasound may be needed after two weeks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
