Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does This Renal Ultrasound Test Result Indicate?
My renal ultrasound report has the following: There are anechoic lesions in both kidneys. largest lesion of the inferior pole the left kidney measures 7.6 7.3 x 8.1 What does that mean? increased echogenicity renal cortex bilaterally. What does that mean?
Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern. Anechoic lesion means cystic lesions because fluid are anechoic. while increase cortical echogenicity means acute renal failure. I would like to advise you to take plenty of water and then repeat ultrasound after 3 weeks. Hope it helps best. Don't forget to rate this answer and Close the discussion at Healthcare Magic.
