Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does This Result From Chest X-ray Report Indicate?
What is the meaning of my Chest X-Ray Examination Report, as follows:Suspicious densities are seen in the right upper lobe.Heart is not enlarged. The visualized diaphragm, soft tissues and bony thorax are unremarkable.Impression: suggest apicolordotic view for further evaluation
In the routine chest x-rays with PA views, because of the overlapping ribs, clavicle and lung shadows the upper parts of the lungs are not clearly visualized.
The suspicious densities in the right upper lobe are better seen in the apicolordotic view hence your radiologist has recommended it for proper reporting and diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
