What Does This Result From Urine Culture Test Indicate?
I am 74.On 1 st Nov 14, I underwent Prostate surgery.After a month I had irritating sensation and a bit diffculty in passing while urinating.I did urine culture sensitivity test.Report:Enterococcus faecalis - 30,000 cfu/ml.My doctor,Prescribed Ceftum 500 mg ,twice daily for 5 days.What is the chance I may be cured ? What is the chance the bacteria may develop resistance? Is it life threatening?

As this antibiotic medicine is prescribed after culture report so after completion of antibiotic you will be completely alright.
If there is residual urine remains after passing urine can produce infection and so there might be having chance of infection again.
Take plenty of water.
