WHAT IS THIS MEANS Scans demonstrate several punctate foci of increased T2 signal in the white matter bilaterally. None of these tiny foci show restricted diffusion or contrast enhancement. These are consistent with old areas of infarction or demyelination associated with aging. No mass lesions are detected.
1.The findings in your MRI suggests there is small vessel ischemic changes. 2.With altered signal intensity, increased on T2W and no diffusion are characteristic of the small vessel changes. 3.This is seen as a demyelinating systemic diseases and ad age related changes. 4.Age related due to some system cause like hypertension might cause the vessel block and restriction of diffusion. 5.Need to treat the underlying cause might improve the condition. Good luck.
