Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband had his sperm tested by his primary care, the results state : while you apparently demonstrate normal sperm counts and motility you apparently have abnormalities in the viscosity (thickness) of the semen itself. What does this mean for fertility? We have been trying for over a year.
Hello, I can understand your concern. The semen is usually tested for count, motilitymorphology,ph,viscosity, fructose, wbc and others. I assume that other than the viscosity all other parameters are within normal limits. Viscosity refers to thivkness if the semen is highly viscous it might reduce the mobility of the sperm to reach the ova in the fallopian tube. However i would require all the other parameters of the report to give you a more detailed answer. Hope you are satisfied with the response. Thanks for consulting HCM
