What Does This Semen Culture Report Indicate?
Hello. I m battling prostitatis and a bilateral mostly left grade 1 varicocele my semen culture came back as FEW COLONIES STAPHYLOCOCCUS, COAGULASE NEGATIVE | FEW COLONIES ALPHA HEMOLYTIC STREP. | FEW COLONIES ENTEROCOCUS FASCALIS GROUP D NO ANAEROBES ISOLATED. My varicocele was dismissed by doctors being that I wasn t in any sever pain and it was grade 1 I was treated with antibiotics for maybe 4 weeks for bacteria prostitatis. Me and my partner have already suffered 2 missed misscarriages the first at 8 weeks the second at 15 weeks 1 year apart. Doctors dismised my condition with having nothing to do with our losses. I m scheduled for a appointment in urology for more treatment for prostitatis and possibly surgery for varicocele. My partner has no known condition. What are your suggestions for us as a couple medically.

If you were able to make your partner earlier then I think varicocele is not causing any problem. One pregnancy loss at 8 weeks and second at 15 weeks means your semen has nothing to do as your doctor have suggested. Please get the complete examination of your wife. As TLC, DLC, ESR, CRP, TORCH, THYROID PROFILE, SERUM PROLACTIN, ULTRASOUND ABDOMEN, SERUM ESTRADIOL, SERUM PROGRSTERON, SERUM TESTOSTERONE, SUGAR LEVEL, B UREA, SERUM CREATININE, SERUM BILIRUBIN and assessment for antiphospholipid syndrome.
