The doctor on seeing the sonography report has suggested to go for another sonography next week. I am afraid , why the cardiac activity has not come up yet. My last date of period was 20/12/2015. After that i concieved the pregnency and came to know abt it 19/ 20 January 2016. Kindly let me know if its normal.. ??
Hello. The order of appearance on ultrasound is - first the gestational sac, then yolk sac and then embryo is seen to appear last. The timing of visibility on the scan also depends on whether the scan is trans-abdominal or trans-vaginal. Your wife's scan has been done at a time where the embryo hasn't formed/appeared yet. In such cases, we just repeat the scan in a week or two to see for embryo and cardiac activity. Rest of the report is unremarkable. Also to be taken into consideration is regularity of menstrual cycle and if she has had bleeding/spotting. Hope this is helpful. Take care and all the best.
