What Does This Sonography Test Result For Intermittent Stomach Pain Indicate?

My son has pain in his stomach on and off.We did the sonography today and the reports says this...Hypoechoic paramesentric nodes in iliac fossa....Some nodes are big the largest one being 15 mm by 10 mm in size.Can you please tell me what does this mean and wht is the treatment for this?

Hi,

It is mesenteric lymohadenitis due to viral gastroenteritis most probably. Emperical treatment with oral antibiotics Cefixime is good.
