Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The bone marrow is mildly heterogeneous. straightening of the cervical lordosis noted. There appears to be partial developmental fusion of C4 and C5. I don t under stand what this means. My husband had a bone fusion in 1984 and they are checking now because he has migraines two days at a time. Does hetergeneous mean it could be cancer?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Partial development of fusion of C4 and C5 vertebra is indicative of degenerative condition like spondylitis. A X-ray of the spine is required to assess the condition of cervical spine. Spondylitis is a common condition of which causes neck pain, pain while lifting arms overhead, tingling sensation in arms, headache, migraine etc. Since, there is associated migraine there is possibility of spondylitis. Spondylitis is managed by exercise, physiotherapy and pain killers. Thus, I suggest you to consult an orthopedician for clinical assessment and management.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
