My baby is 19 days old and got his too test done and the results were: Doc pina stool test ko din po si ryden eto po result: Color: brown Consistency: watery with mucus RBC: 1-2 hpf PUS: 1-3 hpf Bacteria: many Fat globules: rare Cysts: no intestinal parasites seen.. Why does this mean? Thanks
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. The stool analysis sample can be interpreted in the following manner: Colour which is brown is little altered. Consistency is watery means there is loose formation of stools with mucus. RBCs and Pus cells are normal. Bacteria is many means that it has been infected. Fat globules found to be rare is normal. Also no intestinal parasites seen is good. From the above findings, it can be said that baby has caught up with bacterial infection of gastrointestinal tract. Kindly consult Pediatrician for appropriate management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
