What Does This Stool Analysis Result Indicate?

Hello, my 1 year old son just had his stool examined. On his first examination, RBC=none seen WBC=0-2 Bacteria=Many On his second exam (a day after) RBC = 0-2 WBC=0-3 and Bacteria= Abundant. How do you interpret this? Poop is yellow and soft Thanks

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The interpretation of stool analysis is as follows:
Presence of abundant bacteria in stool indicates presence of infection in the gastrointestinal tract.
Presence of 0-2 white blood cells (WBCs) is expected in case of infection with bacteria.
Presence of red blood cells can occur in case of infection, however, the number of red blood cells is very less to indicate any serious problem.
The physical characters- cold and consistency is within normal limits.
The findings suggest a bacterial infection and a stool culture is required to identify the type of bacteria causing infection.
Treatment will be decided after identification of bacteria.
