What Does This Stool Culture Test Signify?
Hi my mother 55 had been having loss of appetite since a week and now she has diarrhoea since 2-3 days 8 to 9 times ...symptoms like gas acidity and vommiting and headache. Culture of stool says our cells around 23, rbc 7-8, pressance of bacteria positive and epithelial cells occ.Is their something very serious?

Presence of bacteria in stool denotes in stool means bacterial dysentery . I will suggest antibiotics as Levofloxocin 500 mg two times for 2 days and then tab Levofloxocin 500 mg once a day plus tab Ornidazole 500 mg two times for 10 days . Add probiotic.
