Just got some test results from annual physical from my employer. GGT went up from high 100 s to 508 in one year. Only change in medications since then was due to immune system and antibody deficiencies, doctor added 875 augmentin once a day (preventive) and told me to take Florastor (probiotic) once a day. Could either of these be the cause?

The common cause is alcohol intake Drugs Infection Viral Hepatitis B, C, A. Gall bladder obstruction. It's good to compare with other enzymes tests of liver function tests AST, PROTEIN, BILIRUBIN, Alkaline phosphatase. LIVER ultra sound and CT Scan is necessary for any abnormality in the liver Viral tests Hbsag. Hepatitis C and A levels Treatment and followup depends on the results consult hepatologist or gastroenterologist.
