Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The tests result of my Sister are as follows: 1) Lipase : 63.6 ; 2) Alkaline Phosphatase: 107.7 ; 3) GAMMA Glutamyl Transferase : 70.3; 4) Total Cholesterol: 205; 5) Basophilia Absolute count: 0.01; 6) Total RBC: 5.15; 7) Mean corp Hemo. Conc: 30.9 ; 8) Vitamin- D : 13.19; 9) HbA1C: 6.3; 10) Average Blood Glucose: 134. She has Spondylitis. She has pain in the abdomen and she feels fatigue and exhausted. Please suggest diagnose and line of treatment for her.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Yours sister GAMMA Glutamyl Transferase level of 70.3 is higher then normal(0-30) & it is indicative of some damage to liver. Liver problems could also be cause of pain in abdomen. However tests such as Lipase value, alkaline phosphatase, total cholesterol, basophilic count, total RBC count & average blood glucose level are fine. There is slight elevation of Hb1Ac, which means your sister is diabetic prone or pre-diabetic. This result in a patient suffering from diabetes is normal. There is also reduction of Vitamin D levels which should also be taken care of. Therefore your sister might be suffering from liver problem. Other liver function tests such as SGOT, SGOP, AST etc should be done. An ultrasound may also be done for daignosis.
Refer to your physician Hope this helps
