Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello doctors, i recently had a thyroid biopsy and received they results told which came back suspicious , possible thyroid cancer, and was recommended that i have a neck ultrasound followed by ent appointment to discuss/schedule surgery. Is there any other alternative to having surgery, and how common is this diagnosis.
Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to cold nodule on scans and if a biopsy has shown any possibility of tumor it should be dealt as soon as possible. Surgical extraction of limited disease should be done before it can have time to metastasize.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
