What Does This Thyroid Test Report Indicate?

I have increased palpitations which showed on a holter monitor and was put on beta-blockers but did not tolerate it well as it brought my blood pressure lower (80/40). My next option is an Ablation. I checked my thyroid labs just to make sure as the last time i did them was in 2012 and my TSH was normal. Today I did my TSH (was normal 2.41), T4 (was normal 10.3), T4 free (was normal 1.38), and T3 Total (which was high 180). Do you think the T3 being high has anything to do with my palpitations?

Thank you for your query.
I do not think the T3 is responsible for your palpitations. It seems to be an excess of conduction tissue in your heart.
Usually the heart has its very own electrical circuit through which current passes with predetermined rhythm and regularity and the heart muscle responds accordingly.
Sometimes, there is an extra conducting circuit which adds extra stimuli and the heart responds to it as well and beats the extra rhythm which you feel as palpitations. the problem with this is that all muscles needs to have a period of rest on order for it do do its best work. with the extra beats the heart does get time to relax and hence you feel the discomfort.
Ablation will help to get rid of the extra circuit.
hope this helps.
