What Does This Tidal Test Report Of A Child Signify?
My 4 year old daughters blood report shows S. typhi O 1:160 S. Typhi H 1:160 Result : titers are suggestive of S typhi infection. Pls guide me what does this mean .. Will another blood test have to be done after a few days .. Is this mild typhoid? Thank you
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM Based on the report you have posted regarding WIDAL test, the titres are definitely indicative of 'typhoid fever'. She needs to be started on treatment with antipyretics and a course of antibiotics at the earliest. She also needs to be on bland diet during the course and for 3 weeks after the antibiotic course is completed. Kindly consult Paediatrician for appropriate course of medication and advise.
