Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am postmenopausal. I just had a pelvis, transabdominal and a transvaginal ultrasound. They said my endometrial lining is 6.2 mm which is unremarkable for this patient s age and menstrual statis. The uterus is anteverted. Do I need to have an endometrial biopsy?
According to the ultrasound results, in such cases, we strongly recommend to do an endometrial biopsy because it is very important to exclude the endometrium cancer. Please follow your doctor’s recommendations for this.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
