hi. I'm a translator from Polish to English and I'm working on a usg spleen report at the moment. I can't find an English equivalent of a Polish term which means something like " in a bipolar dimension" (spleen normal, in a bipolar dimension 7,2 cm). Would that be a correct term or can you suggest another one? The only results I got from google on term "bipolar" refer to bipolar disease :( Could anyone offer some help on this? I'd be immensly grateful!
welcome to Health care magic. 1.Yes spleen has two poles upper pole and lower pole. You can also call cranial to caudal (head to tail). 2.That bipolar disease is different but if you use in the place of spleen - its not wrong. 3.The measurement what you have mentioned is with in normal limits. 4.Normally in our report we mention - simply SPLEEN measuring XYZcm in length. 5.Because spleen is a not straight its angulated crossly. Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
