What Does This Ultrasound Report And HCG Value Indicate?

Hello, I had an internal ultrasound art 5 weeks and 4 days. My hcg level was 600. My doctor found 2 gestational sacs one measured 9.4mm and the other was 9.5mm. There was no yolk sac yet. My hcg levels are doubling fine and I have no cramping or spotting. Would you agree with my doctor that it s just too early and I shouldn t worry at this point ?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The ultrasound reveals two gestational sacs or twin pregnancies.
The level of beta HCG is expected to double every 48 hours.
Infact the increase in beta HCG is more in twin pregnancy as compared to singleton pregnancy.
The gestational sac is considered viable when fetal pole starts appearing in the gestational sac.
The fetal pole appears around 6-9 weeks of gestation.
Thus, you can get your ultrasound done after 1 week for detection of fetal pole.

Thanks and take care
