Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does This Ultrasound Report During Pregnancy Indicate?
I took scan in 45 th day of my pregnancy. It showed 4m.m crl and cardiac activity flickering but not recordable. I repeated the scan on 55th day, again it showed 4m.m crl. Cardiac flickering but not recordable. In 72 days it started bleeding. What should I do now.
As per my clinical experience, the ultrasound report is indicative of absence of cardiac activity which means: - Fetal demise - Impending fetal death - IUGR - Chronic active maternal smoking - Maternal hypertension (above 180/100 mm Hg) - Placental compression hampering fetal blood supply as in case of umbilical vessel thrombosis or others - Maternal consumption of over dose cocaine, heroin
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
