What Does This Ultrasound Report During Pregnancy Mean?
Hi I m going through a very difficult time my son found out his girlfriend is pragnant and I was not very happy becouse they still young any way she went for her altrasound and the doctor said that her sac is 32mm but but no baby they can t see they said they should see the what dose that mean
Ultrasound findings suggests small G-sac in the uterine cavity. However, there is no fetal pole inside G-sac,so she may need follow up ultrasound after 10 days. Non visualization of fetal pole may be due to early pregnancy. She may also need serial beta HCG estimation. Serial beta HCG estimation and follow up ultrasound are important in assessing progression of pregnancy.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. 32 mm sac corresponds to 8 weeks of pregnancy. At this stage parts of developing embryo are distinctly seen in USG scan,In case it is not visible.. there is possibility of a chemical pregnancy.. which can ultimately lead to automatic termination by bleeding. But she may need D&C procedure to take out it completely. She should consult a gynecologist . Thanks.
