U/S PELVIC SHOWS NORMAL SIZED RETROVERTED UTERUS WITH HETEROGENEOUS MYOMETRIAL ECHOTEXTURE SHOWING FUNDAL REGION FIBROIDS MEASURES 1.09X1.13CM RIGHT OVARY MEASURES 3.14X 2.24CM WITH LARGEST FOLLICLES MEASURES 1.04CM LEFT OVARY - 2.83 X 2.73CM BOTH OVARIES SHOWS SUB CENTIMETER FOLLICLES I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE CHANCES OF GETTING PREGNENCY?????
Hello, thanks for writing in. The pelvic ultrasound report shows- 1. Fundal fibroids- size and location wont hamper fertilization. 2. Subcentimeter sized follicles- this is commonly seen in polycystic ovaries. However some normal ovaries reveal this pattern too. 3. 10mm follicle on the right- correlate with day of cycle. Normally a follicle grows in every cycle and ruptures at midcycle.
There does not seem to be anything very abnormal in your report. I would recommend you do a follicle monitoring study, starting day 8 of your cycle, to see follicular growth and ovulation. You can try to conceive around this period. A basic blood test for hormonal levels can also be done. If your menstrual cycle is regular and there is no hormonal imbalance, chances of pregnancy are good. Eat a healthy diet and exercise. Kindly write in with any doubts. Take care.
