General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
From the ultrasound report you have posted, the following things can be interpreted:
1. Uterus is normal.
2. Endometrium (inner lining of uterine cavity) is little increased in thickness. But there is a polyp of 1.8 cm projecting from the endometrium.
3. Right and Left ovaries are normal.
4. Tissues adjacent to uterus, Fallopian tubes and ovary on both sides are normal.
5. Urinary bladder is also normal.
An endometrial polyp (uterine polyp) is a mass in the inner lining of the uterus. These polyps are usually noncancerous (benign), although some can be cancerous or can eventually turn into cancer (precancerous polyps). This is the cause for your dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
Polyps need to be surgically removed using curettage with or without hysteroscopy.
Kindly get yourself evaluated by Gynecologist and plan for its management.
Wish you all the best.
