gudpm doc.. i am requesting your help what is your opionion regarding my friend s ultrasound report and what is the best remedy for thickened endometrium with 1.96cm..thanks! her ultrasound report dated today oct 6: Final Impression: transvaginal scan shows a normal size anteverted uterus w/ diffuse coarse myometrial echoes suggestive od adenomyosis. the endo cervical canal is thickened with cystic spaces could be polyp. the endometrium is thickened, with cystic spaces suggestive of hypeplasia, to consider polyp or a previous mass not removed from previous curettage. both ovaries are normal in size and echotexture.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. The ultrasound report says there could be an endometrial growth called 'polyp' with thickened endometrium. Due to this, uterus is showing some changes and ovaries are normal. You need to get the polyp removed by polypectomy and clear thickened endometrium by dilatation and curettage (D & C) procedure. The curretage tissue needs to be analysed by his to pathology examination to rule out cancer. Kindly consult Gynecologist with report for advise and appropriate management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
