What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?
Hi I am in the onset of my eighth month and in the Doppler study of ultrasound it was found that there is a single loop cord around the baby s neck. now my question is, any chances is there single loop cord around the baby s neck remove automatically in completion of 9 months pregnecy

thank you for asking your concern madam and welcome to hcm. a single loop of cord around neck at just onset of 8th month is of no worry madam. in most of the pregnancy this may occur during 7-8 month, position can also change. but all these condition reverses till term in most of the cases. in USG report they must have mentioned about liquor or amniotic fluid if it is adequate then no need to worry if it is less you may need repeat ultrasound after one month to see status. but during all these days you have to take care of one thing and that is fetal movement if it is good more than 10-12 per day then condition is good if it is less you need to visit your consulting doctor. you can ask your doctor how to measure daily fetal movement.
