What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

The result of the ultrasound said, 1. Uniformly filled urinary bladder, no stones, no mass. 2. Bulky uterus containing a gestational sac inside which there is a foetal bile. The sac is displaced to the left of the interludes. CRL=20.1mm EGA= 8w+5. A huge mixed cryogenic mass noted on the eight of the uterus. This is presumably uterine fibroid. 3. Both adnexac and POD normal. Nt= 1. 1st trim. Crisis 2. Uterine fibroid

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The interpretation of the pelvic ultrasound is as follows:
The uterus contains a gestation sac (the sac with the fetus) with an identifiable fetal pole.
This implies that the current pregnancy is maintained.
The gestational sac is displaced to the left as opposed to normal central position.
The displacement of gestational sac is due to a large structure arising from right wall of uterus.
The features of this mass are consistent with a tumor arising from muscles of uterine wall called uterine fibroid.
Both the ovaries are within normal limits.

Thanks and take care
