Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 62 yrs. old & have been having trouble swallowing at times & feeling a slight choking in my throat so I had an ultra sound done of my thyroid, the findings were a cyst in the right lobe measuring 4.0x1.2x1.1 cm & a cyst in the left lobe measuring 3.4x1.2x1.0 cm with a small complex cystic structure bilaterally. In the lower pole of the right lobe this measures 4.4x2.1x2.8 mm in the mid pole & on the left measurement is 2.7x1.9x2.0 cm. These likely represent colloid cysts. The parenchyma is otherwise mildly inhomogeneous with no additional discernible & measurable nodules seen. Intact color flow to the thyroid parenchyma bilaterally but no hyperemic appearance seen on either side. This is what the report findings were. Can these be treated without surgery or radiation and can I do anything to get my thyroid healthy again via naturally ? Thank you Doris
