Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Due to upper right abdominal pain, have had an ultrasound showing prior cholecystectomy with mild prominence of the common bile duct measuring 8 mm in diameter without evidence of filling defect. Pancreas is unremarkable. Have a slightly elevated WBC for me at 6.5--usually mine is a low end of normal; Vit B12 is 1050; folate 20.8. Have developed gastreoparesis immediately following cholecystectomy that was done in April 2014. What may all of this imply?

What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?
Hi, It all looks fine, it is perfectly OK for the common bile duct to measure 8 mm after cholecystectomy. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
