Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
what does this mean and can I still have children: Anterior fundal fibroid is seen abutting the endometrium measuring 1.9 x 1.0 x 1.3 cm. Posterior subserosal fibroid is seen measuring 2.0 x 1.1 x 1.2 cm. The visualized endometrium measures 0.3 cm. The right ovary measures 3.5 x 2.1 x 2.9 cm. Within the right ovary, there is a 3.3 cm complex cyst with low level echoes within it. The left ovary measures 4.0 x 3.9 x 3.6 cm. There is a simple cyst identified within the left ovary measuring 2.0 cm.
The ultrasound report shows a couple of small fibroids in the womb. These are benign masses that are very common, especially after 30 years of age and do not need specific treatment unless other symptoms are present (unless there is bleeding or they are very large and cause pressure or problems with other organs).
The right ovary has a complex cyst. This very likely will need more investigations to determine its nature and also will need treatment. As for the left ovary, a simple cyst is present there. Simple cysts generally go away on their own and do not need treatment.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
