Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Jan 16 found a Hapatic Adenoma in my liver - left lope (1.5X1.3X1.4) then follow up ultrasound July 16 discovered no change but a different (either new or not previously seen) mass on right lobe (1.5X1.3X1.4). MRI to be scheduled. I have fatty liver disease - is this 2nd cyst/mass likely same as first or chance it could be more serious
You have developed right side mass also .. So that could be adenoma or other tumour ... So has to be evaluated through AFP estimation and MRI to rule out neoplastic mass ... For study nature of mass biopsy can be taken ...
If adenoma confirmed on both lobe liver than close monitoring required ...
Usually it should be treated with embolization , radio frequency ablation , or laproscopic removal...if size more than 5 cm... But still according to opinion from some doctor size of any size should be excised to avoid risk of transformation into malignant tumour ...
Take care
Advise : Surgeon consultation
