I had a ultrasound done 3 days ago and need to leave for Italy in the morning. This is my results. What does this mean. I m afrain I will have a Kidney stone attack on trip. FINDINGS: Right kidney measures 10.6 cm in size. Hypoechoic structure measuring 1.2 cm seen in the interpolar region of the right kidney which is too small to accurate characterize, but possibly represents a cyst. 5 mm nonobstructing calculus seen at the lower pole. General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

There is a small cyst in your kidney.
It is an incidental finding and probably a benign (non-cancerous) lesion. These cysts are quite common and do not require any further treatment.
You can go for a CT scan to get a better clinical picture.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
