General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The contractions occur as a result of the baby's movements.

They're low intensity and usually only occur in one area of the uterus.

You may also do a transvaginal ultrasound to see if the contractions are producing changes in your cervix that might signify the start of labor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
