Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My ultrasound result shows utérus Is retroverted measures 6.3x3.7x5.1 cm with homogenous myometrial echo texture.right ovary is 3.4x2.1x2.7cm(10.6cc) left is 3.1x2.4x2.3cm(11cc)..multiple small cysts are seen in the periphery of both ovaries... impression is polycystic appearance of both ovaries.. what treatment I should take for this???
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM The result is in favour of polycystic ovaries.Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine system disorder among women of reproductive age. Women with PCOS may have enlarged ovaries that contain small collections of fluid. The exact cause of polycystic ovary syndrome is unknown. Early diagnosis and treatment along with weight loss may reduce the risk of long-term complications, such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Polycystic ovary syndrome treatment generally focuses on management of your individual main concerns, such as infertility, hirsutism, acne or obesity. I will suggest you see your Gynecologist for evaluation and management. In the meantime, i will advise: -Keep your weight in check -Consider dietary changes -Be active Hope this will help Wish you the best
