Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. Can anyone please explain to me what does this mean? Does this mean I have PCOS? Thanks! -normal size anteverted uterus with proliferative endometrium. -normal sized left ovary with immature follicles -consider ovarian cyst, right -minimal fluid, cul de sac
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Based on the ultrasound report you have enclosed, the following things can be inferred. 1. Uterus is normal size. 2. Uterus position is anteverted and is in normal position. 3. Endometrium is in proliferative phase. 4. Left ovary is normal size but shows immature follicles which can be considered to be cystic. 5. Minimal fluid in cul de sac is considered to be normal. The report appears to be giving a picture of PCOS, but needs to be ascertained with history and clinical examination. Kindly consult Gynecologist with the report for evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
