Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi doc I went for sonography test USG abdomen and pelvis It says fatty liver with hepatomegaly liver span 15cm grade 1 no focal abnormalty seen the intraheptic bilateral radicle a are not dilated portal radicals are normal in appearance And also have kidney stones in both kidneys 3mm non abstructive calyceal calculus
Fatty liver means that there is a build up of fat in the liver. This can occur with alcohol use and also as a result of inappropriate diet/lack of activity.
It can go on to cause inflammation and damage to the liver if there is no intervention. If related to alcohol use, this should be stopped.
If related to diet/activity, then these need to be improved as soon as possible. Statins would also help as well.
Kidney stones , if small enough, can pass with copious fluids. This should be able to pass out if you drink a lot.
I hope this helps
