Hi my daughters ultrasound (she has autoimmune liver disease) came back stating her liver is very coarse and heterogeneous in echotexture . Then it continued it is a bit on the small side but has relatively small contours. Is that not a contradiction? I m confused. Many thanks.
As per mention by you ultrasound report of your daughter reveals coarse and hetrogeneous echotexture with small contour. Small contour means liver is small in size. Hope size is mentioned in report and coarse and hetrogeneous echotexture means texture of liver is different not as normal liver which is homogeneous and not coarse.
I hope this answer is helpful to you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
