What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Respected doctor, Im sujitha 29 yrs old ,2 months pregnant. Im a teacher. Im travelling once in a week or two weks by car for 2.30 hours. Two weeks back I had a spot of slight bleeding . Then I was normal within 5 minutes. Doctor asked me to scan to know the viability of the fetus. Yesterday ultrasound scan was taken. After scanning I had slight bleeding. Now Im normal. Scan report say 1. no echo in fetal pole, 2.echoes from yolk sac is identified.3.placental implantation site is seen. 4.cervical os is not dilated, cervical length is normal, 6. Both ovaries normal,.7.liver, gall bladder, pancreas, kidneys, pleen& bladder shows normal sonographic features.but 8. THERE IS HYPOECHOIC MYOMA SEEN IN THE POSTERIOR WALL LOWER UTERINE SEGMENT MEASURING 3.2 × 2.7 CM. 9. MY LMPis 15.2.2017. Doctor said im 9 weeks but the fetus development is only like 6 weeks.there is no heart beat. Doctor asked me to take another scan after 2 weeks to know the viability of the fetus. Is this normal . Does it lead to abortion. What may be the reason for no fetal development for 9 weeks, what causes hypoechoic myoma. What should I do? Thank you.

Radiologist 's  Response
Hi,

Sometimes there can be a delay in early development of the fetus and this is common and heart beat is not visualised in every pregnancy at 6 weeks. It is important to get repeat scan after 2 weeks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vivek Chail, Radiologist
